Avior Privacy Policy

Information We Access

Avior stamps photos and videos you capture with your device's location, date/time, and a reverse-geocoded address at the moment of capture. To do this it accesses:

• Location (precise and approximate) — read only while the Camera screen is open or a stamp is being generated, to determine the coordinates, address, and map thumbnail burned into your capture.
• Camera — used exclusively to let you take photos and videos inside the app; Avior does not access the camera in the background or outside the capture screen.
• Photos and videos you capture — saved to your device's own Gallery (`Pictures/Avior`, `Movies/Avior`) via Android's standard MediaStore, exactly like your device's default camera app.

Avior does not access your contacts, call log, SMS, microphone (video is recorded without audio), or any other app's data.

How We Use the Information

Location and address data are used for one purpose only: rendering the visual stamp (title, address, coordinates, date/time, map thumbnail) shown live in the viewfinder and burned into the photo or video you capture, plus the equivalent GPS metadata written into a photo's EXIF fields. None of it is used for advertising targeting, profiling, or any purpose beyond producing the capture you see on screen.

Local Storage & Your Captured Content

Avior has no backend server and no user accounts. Every photo, video, stamp, manual location label, and app setting is stored only in local app storage and your device's own Gallery — none of it is ever transmitted off your device, uploaded to any cloud, or made accessible to us in any form.

If you use the in-app Report feature to export a PDF of your stamped photos, that PDF is likewise saved or shared only through actions you explicitly take (a direct download to your device's Downloads folder, or the Android share sheet to an app of your choosing) — Avior itself never uploads it anywhere.

Permissions Required

Avior requests only the permissions its features actually need, each tied to a specific in-app function:

• Camera — required to capture photos and videos.
• Precise and approximate location — required for the core GPS-stamping feature; without it Avior cannot function as a location-camera app.
• Internet — used solely to resolve your coordinates into a human-readable address (reverse geocoding) via Android's built-in Geocoder, which relies on a remote lookup service on most devices. Avior sends only raw coordinates for this lookup — never your photos, identity, or other personal data.
• Notifications — only used if you enable "Avior Notifications" in Settings; otherwise no notifications are posted.
• Biometric (only if you enable App Lock in Settings) — Avior asks Android's own secure biometric system to verify it's you before letting the app open. Avior never sees, stores, or has access to your fingerprint, face data, or device PIN; that verification happens entirely inside Android's own secure component, isolated from Avior's code.
• Legacy storage write access (Android 9 and earlier only) — used solely so the Report screen's PDF download can write into the public Downloads folder on older Android versions. On Android 10+ the same feature uses the modern MediaStore API and needs no such permission.

Avior does not request access to your contacts, call log, microphone, SMS, or any other app's notifications.

Advertising & Third-Party Services

Avior's free tier is supported by ads shown through Google AdMob, and Avior Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. These are the only third-party services Avior integrates with:

• Google AdMob may show ads within the app on the free tier. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and general device information to select and measure ads, under Google's own privacy practices. Ads never contain or expose your photos, location, or any of your captured content — they are served independently by AdMob.
• Google Play Billing handles Avior Pro subscription purchases. Avior never sees or stores your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information — that is handled entirely by Google Play, and purchase restoration is handled automatically by your Google account with no separate login or account system in Avior itself.
• Google Play's in-app review prompt, used to optionally ask if you'd like to rate Avior, is provided directly by the Play Store and does not share any of your Avior data with us.
• Android's Geocoder service, used to turn coordinates into a readable address as described in Section 4, may relay raw coordinates to a Google-operated lookup service on most devices, under Google's own privacy practices.

Data Sharing

Avior does not sell your personal information, and does not share your photos, videos, location history, or any captured content with any third party, ever. The only data that leaves your device is the minimal advertising, billing, and coordinate-lookup data described above, exchanged directly between your device and Google's own services — Avior's own code has no server and never transmits or has access to that data itself.

Data Retention & Deletion

Avior retains your photos, videos, and settings on your device for as long as you keep them — there is no automatic deletion, since this data belongs to you and lives entirely in your own device storage, not ours.

You can delete any individual photo or video at any time from within the app (Gallery or the media viewer's Delete action) or from your device's own Gallery/Files app. You can delete everything Avior has stored, including settings and manual location labels, at any time by uninstalling the app — since all app data lives only in Avior's local app storage and nowhere else, uninstalling erases it immediately and completely (photos/videos already saved to your device's shared Gallery storage may persist there independently of the app, exactly as with any other camera app, unless you delete them separately).

Data Security

Because your data remains on your device, you stay in control of it. Avior has no server to breach and no central database of user data. Standard Android app sandboxing keeps Avior's local storage isolated from other apps on your device, and the optional App Lock feature adds a biometric gate on top using Android's own secure biometric APIs.

Children's Privacy

Avior is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads shown through AdMob are not configured for child-directed treatment. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below and we will address it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Avior's features change. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Avior after a change means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we recommend reviewing this page periodically or checking the in-app Privacy Policy screen (Settings → About → Privacy Policy).
